RANDY STUMPFHAUSER
Double A: Describe yourself.
RANDY: I am 5'7" tall. I have brown hair, brown eyes. I live in Fresno,
CA and its not as bad as everyone thinks. I am quiet, but im real easy to
talk to.
Double A: What is your typical non-racing day like?
RANDY: Right now it includes school which I am in full time now and usually when
I get home from school I do the training for the day and then either ride
trails or hang out.
Double A: How did you get involved in racing?
RANDY: My dad took me to the track in Sanger, CA when it first opened and I won
my first race and I was hooked.
Double A: What was your first big race win?
RANDY: When I was thirteen I won the President's Cup in Ohio and beat the
national number one kid.
Double A: What is in your training schedule?
RANDY: The usual stuff, weight training, sprints and going to the track.
Its nothing fancy but its consistent.
Double A: What is your favorite part of being a Pro?
RANDY: Striving to be the best I can be in BMX. It is a great opportunity
and I love to work hard at being the best.
Double A: Where do you ride?
RANDY: I ride in my back yard or at the local track, Sanger.
Double A: Who do you ride with?
RANDY: I mainly ride with my buddies Jay, Brandon, and Tony.
Double A: What other sports are you interested in? Who is you favorite athlete/team?
RANDY: I like basketball a lot. I don't have a favorite team now but I
liked the Celtics of the mid 80's. They were my favorite.
Double A: If you could be a pro in another sport, who would it be?
RANDY: I don't know who it would be but it would be racing cars maybe. I just
like to race. I get all excited to go race go-carts.
Double A: What would be your dream job after BMX?
RANDY: Just something I like to do that doesn't seem too much like a job at
all. Having fun is what I'm all about.
Double A: Who did you look up to when you first started racing?
RANDY: Anybody who
was better than me because it made me want to get better.
Double A: What drives you to be a top Pro?
RANDY: I am competitive and I hate losing.
Double A: Do you have any superstitions?
RANDY: Nope.
Double A: Tell us one thing about yourself that not many people know.
RANDY: I have a dog who chases me around my backyard when I am on my bike and
she is the secret to getting fast. She bites my tires and sometimes pops them too.
Double A: What is your favorite bike part?
RANDY: Handlebars.
Double A: What is something that you are really good at other than BMX?
RANDY: Consistently scoring over 100 in golf.
Double A: How are you different from the other Pros?
RANDY: I live in Fresno and I don't mind.
Double A: Describe your riding style.
RANDY: Controlled.
Double A: Who would you like to thank?
RANDY: I would like to thank God for all He has blessed me with. I want to
thank my parents for the support and selflessness in helping me to be the
best. I thank my girlfriend for her support and encouragement. Greg Hill
for pushing me hard. HUFFY BICYCLES for their outstanding support even
