Double A Marketing Rider News Want to know what's up with the riders? Want to keep up to date on all the new things going on in BMX? Maybe get some bonus info on other interesting things related to BMX? Well you can check back here daily and we will keep you informed on what's up: 2005 News ----------------------------------- - - - -- - - 4111- - 8 The ABA Grands were this past weekend and it was a great event. The track was built to perfection and the riders were having a great time. Kyle Bennett was looking to take home the ABA #1 Pro title in the AA class, but was unable to capture it. Randy Stumpfhauser for the first time went into the Grands not leading the Pro Cruiser title chase, but walked away with the tile. Cristian Becerine had a excellent weekend as he finished just behind Kyle in 3rd in the AA Main. Read the full report here. The ABA Grands are this weekend and the title is going to come down to the AA main event, if Kyle Bennett and Bubba Harris both make it. We will be there and should have updates each night to let you know what is going on. In other news, A few riders will have new sponsors for 2006 and we will let you know who is on what team on December 1st. We can let you know that Randy Stumpfhauser will be on GT for 3 more years and Kyle and Dale will both be on Free Agent for 3 more years as well. Kyle Bennett wins day 2 at the ABA Fall Nationals. Kyle has pout himself in a great position to have a great shot at the ABA #1 Pro title. This years ABA Grands will definitely be one of the best in years. Brandon Meadows has a great weekend at the Falls. Read the full report here. Congratulations go out to Cristian Becerine and his wife on the birth of a baby boy. Kyle Bennett just won Day 1 and day 2 at the ABA East Coast Nationals in PA. With these wins, Kyle gains 80 more points and is really closing in on the chase for the #1 ABA title. He currently sits in 2nd overall. He will have his work cut out for him at the Fall Nationals next weekend, but he is ready for the challenge. Read the full report here. Kyle Bennett has been on a tear and it looks like he is going after the ABA #1 title. After the last 4 ABA races he has placed 1st and 2nd at every day of racing. Kyle now sits in close 2nd and with 2 more ABA races, he is looking to close the gap even more at the Falls and the East Coast Nationals. The UCI Supercross race in San Jose was a big hit with the riders and if you saw it on TV, you know why. Brandon Meadows was going for the lead, and takes down 6 other riders. Stumpy and Kyle are also in the main, and Kyle places 3rd, Randy 5th, and Brandon 7th. Read the report here. Cristian Becerine has a good weekend and winds up #4 overall, with Randy #2 overall. The 3rd Annual Verano Festival BMX Invitational Race was held this past weekend. Check out the full report here.
The Elite main event was crazy. Unfortunately Randy, Cristian, or Brandon made it to the finial, but check out the World Championship page for the full race story. Stumpy wins the UCI Worlds! Stumpy wins the 24" Cruiser Main Event in Paris on Friday night!!! In one of the hardest Elite Cruiser Mains in years, Randy comes from behind in the last turn to pass the two leaders and wins the UCI World Championship for a 4th time in a row! Dale Holmes also made the Cruiser main, but crashed in the first turn. Check back soon for Pictures and the full story. The UCI World Championships will be held this weekend in Paris, France. There has been a lot of anticipation for this event, as cycling events in Europe are always great and the pinnacle of BMX racing in Europe is France. Held inside of the world famous Bercy Sports center, the 2005 BMX World Championships will definitely go down as one of the best events ever for a BMX World Championship. We will be at the UCI Worlds and reporting daily as the action goes down. Go to our UCI World Championship race page to get updates. The ABA World Cup was held last weekend and Randy Stumpfhauser was once again on the podium. This time he was the winner of the Pro Cruiser race on Sunday, taking home another ABA title. This was a warm up for the real world championships in Paris, France that will be held on the 29-31 of July. We will be there reporting as the action happens. Read the full South Park Report Here. NBL South Park Day one is in the books and it was another good race for Randy Stumpfhauser. Randy, the current NBL Points leader, took a 3rd and gained a few more points towards the NBL #1 Pro Plate. It will be a close chase, with Mike Day and Bob De wilde right there, but after the race on Sunday, we will know how it all sits before the NBL Grands. Be sure to check it out at GTbikes.com The NBL Evansville National was this past weekend and Randy, Brandon, Kyle, and Cristian were all here. Super hot and humid conditions took its took on the riders, and made it for a long race weekend. We will have a full report and photos posted later in the week.
It was a big BMX and MTB weekend this past, as the UCI Supercross race in Switzerland took place, as well as ABA Rockford, Norba Utah, and the British National Championships. In all, it was a great weekend for the Double A Marketing guys, as Cristian Becerine and Randy Stumpfhauser placed 2nd and 3rd at the UCI Super cross event and Dale Holmes won the British National Championship title. Look for full report later in the day. The ABA Spring Nationals were held this past weekend in Roseville, CA. Randy and Brandon were the 2 lone Double A Marketing riders in attendance, while Cristian was in Canada at a UCI Points race and Buddy Dale is in England for a Double Pointer. The NBL came to California this past weekend, and once again, Stumpy won the Elite men's class, as well as Elite Cruiser. Cristian Becerine also had a great weekend, as well as Brandon Meadows and Kyle Bennett made his return after his bad crash in Las Vegas. Read the full report here. The ABA Great Salt Lake nationals were this past weekend. Brandon Meadows takes home a huge win in AA Pro, while Cristian and randy take home 2nd places. Read the full report here. The ABA US Nationals were this past weekend and Randy, Cristian, and Brandon were all riding super well. Once again, it was one of the Double A Marketing guys to take home a win in AA. Read the full report here. NBL Vegas was this past weekend and the Double A guys were on fire. Stumpy pulled off 3 huge wins and currently sits 2nd overall in NBL points. Cristian had an incredible weekend with a 2nd and 3rd in AA. Dale and Brandon both had good days, making AA and open. Read the full report here. This past weekend was ABA Lone star Nationals. With a small pro turnout, Double A Marketing guys were half the class and took home most of the money, while other AA's just stayed at home and pouted. Kyle Bennett did his Texas fans proud with a 2nd on Saturday and 1st on Sunday in AA while Dale Holmes made it back to the USA and to his 3rd race of the year with a 4th nd 3rd in AA. Stumpy placed 3rd and 4th in AA, rounding out the weekend for the guys. Look for a few more Pros to be at this weekends NBL National in Las Vegas, and we will be there as well to keep, you, the fans up to date with the weekends report at the largest Pro Purse national in quite a long time. Weekend 2 of the Florida races went off today and the Pros were back at it, doing it for the East Coast NBL fans. Tampa hosted a great race and the weather was 90% better than last weekend, with just a bit on wind on Saturday, but no humidly and no rain. Randy, Brandon, Kyle, and Cristian once again were ready to race and all made a good showing over the weekend. Read the full report here. Well Race fans, the first weekend of the NBL race went off with a bit of bad weather, but the longest race track in BMX history was well covered and maintained so well, it did not effect the race one bit. Randy, Cristian, Brandon, and Kyle all made the trip down to the race and each had something exciting to talk about at the end of the weekend. We will get the full race report up in the next few days, as well as post some photos for you. OK Fans, big things are on the way for BMX in the next few weeks. This weekend, DC is putting on a big Sprint Trails race at Randy Stumpfhauser's house. Randy liked the 2 man format type race that started a few years ago at the "Invert" race, and built a dual man course at the Stumpy compound. This will be a fun, action filled day of racing on Saturday, then on Sunday, a lot of the Pros will head over to Readly, for Day 2 of the NBL Big A National event there. Should make for fun for the kids. Then next week is the first week of the NBL Spring Break nationals in Orlando, Florida. This is just the 2nd weekend of the 2005 NBL Pro Series, so it will be an important event. Then the next weekend, is the 2nd weekend of the NBL Spring Break Tour in Tampa. We will be at all 3 events, and get you all the scoop, as well as new photo to update the site and show you what you missed if you cant make it the races. ABA Gator National was this past weekend in Oldsmar, Florida. Kyle Bennett wins again. Read the full report here. Phoenix was this past weekend and the rains kept a few of the Double A Marketing guys away from the Winter Nationals while Randy Stumpfhauser went on to have a great weekend of racing. The ABA Season Opener kicked off this past weekend, and the Double A Marketing riders - Randy Stumpfhauser, Brandon Meadows,, Christophe Leveque, and Dale Holmes made the trip up to Snowy Reno, Nevada to kick the season off.
