Christophe
Leveque
US
Pro Bikes / Free Agent
-9 Time UCI World Champion
A
9 time World Champion, Christophe changed AA Pro racing when he came
to the USA and dominated on the BMX track. All the Pros had to reevaluate
how to train for AA racing, and Christophe made the entire AA Pro Class
all step up a few levels.
In 2002, Christophe hurt his back and was out for the entire season
after a few different surgeries to repair and then replace a ruptured
disc. In just a few short months, he had made his return to AA racing,
not only showing his true love and determination for the sport, but
his natural talent, as he has already made it back into the AA pro main
events. Christophe made the AA main at the 2004 ABA Grands and made
a big statement of his return. Then he was struck with another injury,
this time to his foot, where he shattered his heel. Christophe had a
tough time making it back from this injury, as the pain had kept him
off the bike, but his love for the sport was always there. Christophe
looked into other aspects of the sport and started an international
BMX distrubution company, US Pro Bikes.
Look
for Christophe to be riding at the local So Cal tracks, and maybe even
be at some races in late 2006, as he is now healed up and ready to come
back to the BMX tracks and race for fun...for now
