Boulder Dam National, Boulder City, Nevada
Round 3 of the NBL 2006 Pro Series headed out to the west coast this
past weekend to the perfectly groomed track in Boulder City, Nevada.
The Boulder City Track had been revamped with asphalt turns and a newly
built Pro section, that was absolutely perfect for the fast paced Elite
racing action. With valuable points up for grabs in both the NBL Elite
series, as well as the UCI Continental ranking series going on, it was
a huge race for the Pros and the fans loved every minute of the racing
action. Here is how the Double A Marketing riders finished up:
Kyle Bennett has had a bit of bad luck lately, but in just the past
weeks he has turned it all around. First, after signing a few new sponsors,
Fly Racing and Bombshell Forks, Kyle has been on ready to get back on
the BMX track and go fast. On Saturday in Boulder City, it was all Kyle
as the gate dropped for the NBL Series Main event. Kyle took the hole
shot and lead the entire lap, taking home his 2nd Elite NBL win of the
season. Kyle was also in the UCI Series on Saturday, where he finished
up 8th. On Sunday, Kyle was back in the NBL Elite main event, adding
another great score with a 3rd place finish. Consistency is the key
to a #1 Title and Kyle has shown he is on track to add another NBL #1
Plate to his collection. Kyle's sponsors include Free Agent, KHS, Kenda,
Fly Racing, Bombshell, Sun Ringle, UGP, Thomson, Utopia Eyewear, THE
Products, OGIO, S & M bars, ORP, ODI, Shimano, Powerbar, Cyto Sport,
and BMXpros.com.
Randy Stumpfhauser has been on point for the past few races with a slew
of wins and top 3 finishes. Randy came into Boulder City looking to
add to his consistency and on Saturday, he did just that. In the NBL
Elite Series main event, Randy was looking strong all day and easily
made it into the main event. Randy finished up 3rd overall and then
went on to the UCI Main event, where once again he finished 3rd. On
Sunday, Randy raced both the NBL Elite main event, as well as the Elite
Open class. In The Elite main, Randy had a full on battle the entire
race and was just edged out at the line for 5th place. In Elite Open,
Randy wound up 4th and wrapped up a great weekend of racing. Randy's
sponsors include GT Bicycles, Kenda, AC, Tangent, Sun Rims, Bombshell,
Fly Racing, Powerbar, CTI Knee Braces, OGIO, X Balm, ODI, Tool Shed,
SDG, SRAM, Easton, S & M Bars, Cyto Max, and BMXpros.com.
