ABA Great Salt Lake Nationals SLC, Utah Round number of the ABA 2002 Pro tour took place this past weekend, and along with gaining points towards the overall ABA pro title, it was a TV weekend, giving each of the riders in the main event a lot of air time to show off their stuff and their sponsors products. With the Fox Sports TV show, BMX has once again been getting the spotlight it so rightly deserves. With Riders as Jamie Staff and Wade Bootes always mentioning BMX racing as a key to their success in the other disciplines that they are succeeding in, BMX is getting more and more attention. Here is how the Double A Marketing Pros finished up this weekend. Jamie Staff once again showed the world of what he is capable of on a bike. 2 weeks ago it was on a track bike in Russia, this week it was on his BMX bike to a win in AA pro and Pro Open on Saturday and a 2nd in AA Pro on Sunday. Jamie has made the decision to go after the ABA title only this year, and it looks like it was a good decision. Jaime's Sponsors include Haro, Adidas, No Fear, Lee Pipes, O'Neal Helmets, Tangent, AC Components, Smith Eye Wear, Revenge, Champion Nutrition, Answer Forks, Shimano, Powerbar, Kicker, Bob's Stores, BMXpros.com, and Headlock. Warwick
Stevenson has been on a streak of great finished in the past, but
this weekend, he steeped it up as he placed 3rd in AA Pro and 2nd in
Pro Open on Saturday and 1st in AA pro on Sunday. Podge has a stronghold
on the ABA points lead, as he is doing a great job defending his 2001
ABA #1 Pro Title. Warwick's sponsors include Diamondback, Oakley, Thor,
ATI, FSA Headsets, Answer Forks, AC Components, Marwi, IRC, Ballistic,
Dope, Vans, Revenge/Champion Nutrition, Ballistic, Head Lock, and BMXpros.com.
