BMX Race Report
NBL Gator Nationals Sarasota, Florida

Round 5 of the 2007 NBL/UCI Pro Series tour took place this past weekend
in Tampa, Florida at the Sarasota BMX race track. One of the oldest,
most used tracks on the NBL Pro tour, the Sarasota track is one of the
best in BMX. The weather was great for racing and the huge international
field in attendance made for some great racing. With 3 important weekends
of BMX racing taking place for the UCI World and Continental rankings,
the Double A Marketing Pros in attendance were ready to race and wound
up once again with impressive results. Here are how they finished up
in the main events.
Cristian Becerine has been on a hot streak of great results and wins
up to Phoenix, where instead, he did a lot of crashing. Leave it to
one of the top Pros in BMX to come back stronger than ever and take
home another huge win. Cristian did just that on Sunday, as he holeshotted
and lead the entire lap of the Elite Men's main event. Cristian also
finished an impressive 4th in Elite Men on Saturday. Cristian now has
a huge lead in the NBL Pro Title points chase and looks to add his first
NBL Pro title to his impressive resume. . Cristian's Sponsors include:
Free Agent, Fly Racing, Sinz Racing Products, Kenda, THE Products, ODI,
Sun Ringle, Shimano, Powerbar, Cyto Sport, OGIO, Oakley, Thomson Seat
Posts, and BMXpros.com.
Kyle Bennett made his return to the NBL Pro National Series this past
weekend after his knee surgery at the end of last season. Kyle has always
been a strong racer, but to come back from such a big injury and be
at the top of the Elite Class is almost impossible. Almost, but not
for Kyle as he made a huge statement to the entire class on Saturday
as he convincingly took a huge win in the Pro Open Class main event.
On Sunday, Kyle backed up his win with another huge result - 2nd in
Elite Men's, just behind Cristian. Kyle looks to jump right back into
the swing of things and be his old self. We sure are glad to see Kyle
back at the track and on top of the podium! Kyle's Sponsors include:
Free Agent, Fly Racing, Bombshell Forks, UGP Products, Kenda, ODI, Sun
Ringle, Shimano, Powerbar, Cyto Sport, ORP, Thomson Seat Posts, and

Randy Stumpfhauser was red hot in Phoenix just last week and he looked
to carry his momentum into Tampa. With what was one of the toughest
Elite Men's classes at the 2007 UCI series to date, Randy easily made
the main event both days. On Saturday, Randy would finish 5th in the
Elite main event. On Sunday, Randy looked for a better finish and did
so with a 4th overall. Randy was a bit disappointed as he was looking
for another win in the NBL series, but he will get his change again
next weekend in Orlando. Randy's sponsors include GT Bicycles, Kenda,
ODI, Tangent, Sun Rims, Bombshell, Fly Racing, SINZ Products, Powerbar,
CTI Knee Braces, OGIO, SDG, SRAM, Easton, Cyto Sport, and BMXpros.com.
Joey Bradford had a small crash at the ABA Phoenix national last Sunday
and it was a nagging injury that he dealt with all week. Joey came to
Florida with one thing on mind and that was to win the Junior Elite
Men's class on Saturday. With the valuable UCI points on the line, Joey
pushed through his pain and raced. It was no easy task as some of the
worlds top Junior Elite racers were in attendance, but Joey walked away
with another win in the Junior Elite Class on Saturday. This makes a
perfect season for Joey in the NBL / UCI Junior Elite Class with 5 wins
and he looks forward to getting his 6th next weekend at the next round
of the NBL UCI series in Orlando, Florida. Joey's Sponsors include GT
Bicycles, Fly Racing, Oakley, Bombshell, THE Products, Sun Ringle, Kenda,
SDG, FSA, Sponsorhouse, ODI, Powerbar, Cyto Sport, Circle E, SRAM, Avid,
OGIO, Sirius Satellite Radio, JoeyBradford.com, and BMXpros.com.
