ABA Silver Dollar Nationals Reno, NV

The ABA kicked off its 2003 season with the Silver Dollar Nationals. Reno is one of the best venues of the ABA schedule, with great seating, plenty of room for a great track, and a great area for companies to set up and display. With a few of the Double A Riders up at the Olympic training center, it was up to Dale Holmes and Christophe Leveque to take the top spot of the podium this weekend. With a new season upon us, things will be very exciting this season in BMX racing. Here is how the Double A Marketing riders finished up.

Dale Holmes once again showed his fans what he was capable of with wins both days in the Pro Cruiser class, as well as making both the AA pro mains. On Saturday, Dale was held back to 8th overall, due to a few crashes. On Sunday, Dale was looking a lot faster, and 6th place was his at the end of the day. Dale has had a solid start to his 2003 season, and has already proven to be one of the riders to watch in 2003.

Christophe Leveque has been recovering from a back surgery and over the past month has been able to return to his training and riding schedule. Christophe was in Reno to show off is GT colors, Ultra Box bike and see his fans, as he felt it was still a bit early to make his return to AA racing. Look for Christophe to be racing in the next few week at the next ABA national in Wichita, Kansas.
