NBL Golden State Nationals Prunedale, CA

Round 5 of 8 race Pro Series for the 2005 NBL Elite men's championship was held this past weekend at Manzanita park, in Prunedale, California. One of the favorite stops for the Pros, the Prunedale track offers it all, a power riders first strait away, a downhill 2nd and 3rd strait away with some big jumps, and a last strait away that has a perfect mix of both power and skills needed for the tough and big rhythm section. With great weather, a great track, and a fun weekend of BMX racing, the NBL Golden State Nationals was a welcome pleasure by all the riders who attended and once again let the Double A Marketing riders use their power and skills to dominate the Elite Men's class. Here is how the Double A Pros who went finished up:

Randy Stumpfhauser again was just plain amazing. Randy currently sits near the top of the Men's Elite standing and leads the Elite Cruiser standings, and he came to Prunedale to hopefully add some more points for the title chase. Randy came out strong on Saturday and made both the Elite men's main and the Elite Cruiser main, placing 3rd in each finial. On Sunday, Stumpy was ready to do better, and he did just that as he took wins in both classes at the days end, With this huge win, Randy now sits in the top spot in both Elite Men's title point classes and looks to win back the NBL #1 Elite Pro Title. Randy's sponsors include GT Bicycles, Hyundai, ODI, Kenda Tires, Tangent, Sun Rims, Bombshell Forks, Fly Racing, Time Pedals, SRAM, Powerbar, CTI Knee Braces, Tool Shed, SDG, DC, Easton, S & M, Fox Riders Co Clothing, Cyto Sport/Cyto Max, and BMXpros.com

Cristian Becerine has been very consistent in the past month, as well as all season, with a lot great 2nd place finishes. Well, you can chalk up another one for him, this time in the Elite Men's main event on Sunday, With this 2nd place finish, Cristian moves into the 2nd place spot overall and looks to give Randy a run for the NBL #1 Pro title. Cristian's sponsors include Crupi, O'Neal, Answer, UGP, ODI, Sun Ringle, Shimano, Tool Shed, Powerbar, BMXpros.com, Cyto Sport/Cyto Max, and Thomson Seat Posts.

Brandon Meadows
was coming off his big win last week in Utah, and rode just as strong in Prunedale. This time, Brandon was just a bit off the first place pace and finished 2nd in Pro Cruiser on Saturday and 5th in the Elite Men's Class. On Sunday, Brandon finished up the weekend with a 3rd in Pro Cruiser. Look for some more impressive results, as the ABA will be coming to his home track in Roseville, CA, and he is ready to take home another win. Brandon's sponsors include Specialized, Fly Racing, Tangent, Thomson, Big Tool, Shimano, Cyto Sport/Cyto Max, Sun Ringle, Powerbar, and BMXpros.com.

Kyle Bennett made his first race appearance after his terrible crash in Las Vegas earlier this month. Still getting over a bad knee injury, Kyle rode the Prunedale track smooth and flawless and made his way into he Pro Elite Open main event on Saturday. Kyle would finish up 5th, and more importantly, feel good about being back out on the track and on his way back to victory. Kyle's sponsors include Free Agent, KHS, Answer, Kenda, Sun Ringle, UGP, Truvativ, Velo, S&M bars, ATI, Shimano, Profile, Powerbar, Cyto Sport, and BMXpros.com.
