NBL Left Coast and ABA New England Nationals May 4-5

The first weekend in May was a busy one for BMX racers. With 2 huge BMX races going on, it was time for all the riders to pack their bikes and head in different directions of the country. The NBL held its Left Coast Nationals in Prunedale, Ca, just outside or Monterey, CA. One of the NBL's best west coast tracks attracted a lot of the Pros. The ABA Held its New England Nationals in Westfield, Massachusetts and did a lot of promoting, as well as adding some cash to the Pro purses to get the riders to travel. It worked, as the ABA race had a great slice of today's top AA pros, as well as a large amateur turnout. In either place, the Double A Marketing Pros were unbeatable in AA, as they scored all the wins. Here is how the riders finished up:

Randy Stumpfhauser has been having a great season in the NBL, but this weekends race may have just been the best weekend Randy has had at a BMX National in his entire career, other than taking home both #1 Pro titles last year in the Cruiser class. Stumpy was just flat out fast as he was the winner of AA Pro both days as well as winning Pro Open on Saturday. Randy has been training hard, and its showing, as he sits near the top of the NBL's Pro points title chase. Randy's sponsors include Huffy, Fox, Smith Eye Wear, IRC Tires, AC Components, Vans, Marwi Ti Spokes, Powerbar, Head Lock, Revenge, CTI 2, Champion Nutrition, and BMXpros.com.

Thomas Allier has been training a lot as well, being able to focus a lot more on BMX this season, after getting used to his new role as a father. Thomas blazed in for 2 second place finishes in AA this weekend. Look for Thomas to battel it out for his old NBL #1 Pro plate he lost last year to Jamie Staff come NBL seasons end. Thomas' sponsors include Giant, THE, Oakley, Sun Ringle, Marwi Spokes, Headlock, Revenge, Champion Nutrition, WD-40, Hot Wheels, IRC Tires, ACS Claws, Jan Sport, Lava, Toolshed, Powerbar, Troy Lee Designs, and BMXpros.com.

Meanwhile, The ABA Held stop number 9 for the Pros in Massachusetts at the ABA New England Nationals, The Double A Marketing riders once again cleaned up all the victories in AA Pro. Here are how the guys finished up in the main events.

Warwick Stevenson kept his winning streak of ABA AA mains alive with 1more wins this weekend. The ABA's current #1 Pro not only won the AA main on Saturday, and took 2nd on Sunday, but took a lot of his free time to sign autographs, give advise, and hang out with many riders new to the sport of BMX. That the sign of one of the greatest riders doing the most for the sport he loves! Warwick's sponsors include Diamondback, Oakley, Thor, ATI, FSA Headsets, Answer, AC Components, Marwi, IRC, Ballistic, Dope, Vans, Revenge/Champion Nutrition, Ballistic, Head Lock, and BMXpros.com.

Jamie Staff showed that all his time in the velodrome has paid off as he was in all 4 pro mains this weekend. On Saturday, one bad lap cost him dearly in AA as he finished up a very respectful 4th overall. On Sunday it was one better with a 3rd in AA, as well as placing 2nd both days in Open. Jamie heads off to DeSoto, Texas this weekend, along with Warwick and the rest of the guys for the ABA Super Nationals, one of the ABA's televised events. Jaime's Sponsors include Haro, Adidas, No Fear, Lee Pipes, O'Neal Helmets, Tangent, AC Components, Smith Eye Wear, Revenge, Champion Nutrition, Answer Forks, Shimano, Powerbar, Kicker, Bob's Stores, BMXpros.com, and Headlock.
