NBL Silver State Nationals January 26-27

Round 2 of the NBL 2002 Pro tour was held on January 26-27 in Mesquite, NV. Even thought its early in the season, every NBL race is very important, and the riders in the main were gaining valuable points towards the overall title chase. With the ABA national going on in Kansas, it split up the pro class, but each race was still very tough to make the main event in. Here is how the Double A Marketing riders who attended finished up in the main events.

Randy Stumpfhauser continued his streak of great main event finished this weekend with a slew of top results. On Saturday, Stumpy finished an incredible 2nd in AA pro and 1st in Pro Open. On Sunday, Stumpy finished 4th in both AA and Pro Open. Warwick Stevenson made his way over to the NBL nationals to spread out his racing abilities, and he did a great job. On Saturday, Warwick settled for a 3rd in Pro Open, but came back super strong on Sunday, with a 3rd in AA Pro and a 2nd in Pro Open. Jamie Staff came back from his 2 month trip in England and made the Silver State nationals his first race of 2002. With his #1 NBL Pro plate, Jamie made some statements as he was in the AA main both days taking a 5th on Saturday and a 2nd on Sunday. Jamie also placed 3rd in Pro Open on Sunday. Thomas Allier returned from his injuries sustained at the NBL season opener in Ohio and was in the AA main on Saturday, placing 7th overall. Thomas is well on his way back to becoming one of the top guys in AA.
