ABA Golden State National Lancaster, CA
Race 10 of the 2008 ABA Pro Series was held this past weekend at the Antelope Valley BMX in Lancaster, CA. With the ABA season winding down, the Golden State Nationals would give the riders one of the last shots at points to go towards the 2008 ABA #1 Pro Title. Danny Caluag has lead the points chase all season long in both AA Pro and Pro Cruiser, so it was up to the other AA's to try to gain points on him. Here is how the Double A Marketing Riders finished up for the weekend:

Danny Caluag has held the lead all season long in the Pro points chase in both AA Pro and Pro cruiser and he looked to gain some points at the ABA Golden State National. On Day one, Danny did just that with a win in AA Pro. In the AA main, it had just started to rain, and Danny was able to hold off a slipper track and a hard charge from Randy Stumpfhauser to take the win. On Day 2, Danny won Pro Cruiser, but wasn't able to repeat his performance in AA Pro, as he would finish up 8th. Danny holds a nice lead in the ABA Pro title chase with just one ABA National weekend left before the ABA Grands, the ABA Disney Cup. Randy Stumpfhauser had a great weekend in Lancaster. On Day 1 the 2008 NBL #1 Pro easily made his way into the AA Pro main and coming out of the 1st turn, he was just behind Danny Caluag. Randy stalked Danny the entire track and made a surge at the finish line the just fell short of him taking the win away, finishing 2nd for the day. On Sunday, Stumpy was back in the main event and finished up 4th overall. Cristian Becerine only raced Day 1 of the ABA Golden State Nationals, and unfortunately, it started to rain just as he got loaded into the gate for the main event on Saturday . Cristian hole shotted the AA main event, but the rain made the first turn just a bit slippery and unfortunately he was going too fast and slid out, ending his chances of a podium finish, as he wound up 8th overall.
