ABA Spring Nationals Lake Perris, CA

The ABA held round #8 of the 2006 Pro Series at Lake Perris, CA Lake Perris has been a long time favorite of the ABA, as in the past. Lake Perris was host for the ABA Fall Nationals, as well as other national events. The Lake Perris track is smack dab in the middle of an action filled area, with a Motocross track, a shifter cart track, sprint car track, and a dirt jump/skate park, all located at the same facility. The Lake Perris BMX track is one of the best so cal tracks of today and it made for some of the best Pro racing in a long time. 24 AA Pros came to win this weekend and 2 of the Double A Marketing riders were ready to as well. Here is how they did this weekend,

Kyle Bennett kept his streak of great results rolling this weekend in Lake Perris. Over the past few weekends, Kyle has been running up front come main event time and it was no different both days this weekend. On Saturday, Kyle finished 3rd overall in the AA Pro main. On Sunday, Kyle was back on top all day and come main event time, he just missed out on the win, with a 2nd in AA Pro. Kyle looks forward to a weekend off, to get ready for the next event on the 2006 Pro tour in Evansville, IN. Randy Stumpfhauser had a weekend that he wants to forget about. On Saturday, Randy woke up with a huge pain in his back. He tried to work through it with stretching and massage, but he was not able to get up to AA speed until mid day, causing him to miss out on the AA main. Randy was able to salvage the day with still making the Pro Cruiser main event, but as he followed Nate Berkheimer in the main event, Nate crashed and Randy had no where to go but down. Randy was OK, but the crash was enough for him to call it a weekend and sit Sunday out.
