BMX Race Report
ABA Sooner National Guthrie, Oklahoma

Round 3 of the 2005 ABA Pro Series returned Pro BMX racing to Oklahoma, this time to Guthrie. In a great facility for BMX racing, the Lazy E Arena held a impressive track for the racers as they showed up for practice on Friday. The U within a U design branched off out of turn one with a technical pro section going to the left, testing the Pros just as they were getting up to full speed. This section made for some big surprises, especially on Sunday. With a good track and all the top riders in attendance, it was a exciting weekend for the Double A Marketing Pros and race fans. Here is how the riders finished up over the weekend.

Kyle Bennett made Guthrie his first stop of the 2005 ABA Schedule and by the way he raced this weekend, he made a huge statement on how he wants his season to go. In 2 of the 3 main events on Saturday, Kyle lead from start to finish, taking home the overall win in AA Pro on Saturday. On Sunday, Kyle continued his winning ways, winning all 3 mains and took home another victory in the AA Pro Class. Looks like a new in streak in AA Pro class has just started. Cristian Becerine returned home for a month in Argentina jut last week and the time away from the US didn't slow him down one bit. On Saturday, a slide out caused him to be in the back of the results in the AA Pro main with a 8th, but come Sunday, Cristian was back. After making the AA Main, Cristian ran up front with Kyle for the top spot, and just missed the win as he finished 2nd place overall. Randy Stumpfhauser had one of those weekends he wants to forget, but still had some impressive results. On Saturday, Randy made the AA Main and 7th was his overall result. On Sunday, Randy was back in the main, looking to do a bit better, and 5th was just that. 2 good results, but Randy has some high standards and will be ready for the next national.
