ABA Fall Nationals Disney Cup Orlando, Florida
The ABA 2007 season is down to the wire with just the Fall Nationals,
the last event before the ABA Grands. What better way to make 2007 an
even more spectacular year of ABA racing, than moving the event to the
Disney Wild World of Sports center? For what may have been one of the
best ABA events of 2007, the ABA did a great job with moving the traditionally
West Coast Fall nationals to the East. The Disney family took BMX in
for the 3 day national event and it looks like the ABA Disney cup will
be around for a long time. The Pro battle heated up, as Kyle Bennett
needed to bring home 3 wins to have a shot at the ABA #1 title that
may have looked like it was up for grabs, since Randy Stumpfhauser broke
his collar bone just 2 weeks ago. Kyle has had an incredible year, with
winning the World and NBL #1 titles, but if he could win the ABA #1
title as well, it would make history.
Kyle Bennett has been unstoppable for the past few
ABA and NBL events and the Disney Cup would once again showcase his
skill and speed, as well as determination at winning a 3rd title in
2007. As Day 1 kicked off, Kyle looked to be the favorite, as he won
every moto and semi event he was in. As the Main event kicked off, Kyle
was the Pro to watch, as he showed everyone at Disney the fastest way
around the track, all 3 main events. On Saturday, it was a repeat of
the day before, as once again, Kyle was untouchable in the AA class,
winning all 3 main events once again. On Sunday, Kyle started the main
events off with a win on lap one, and on lap two and three he would
win up loosing his first 2 laps of the weekend, but would still come
away with 2nd overall for the day. Kyle now looks forward to the last
Pro points event, the ABA Race of Champions and Grands, where he has
a shot at winning the ABA #1 Pro title. Kyle's sponsors include: Free
Agent, KHS, Fly Racing, Bombshell, www.Go211.com, Sun Rims, Shimano,
UGP, Kenda, Thomson, S & M bars, ODI, ORP, Powerbar, Cyto Sport,
and BMXpros.com.
Cristian Becerine was looking to add to his great ABA
season as well as he was going into the ABA Falls in 7th place in the
overall ABA Pro points. On Day one, Cristian was in the main event and
was looking great for a top 3 finish, but a crash in the last main event
would keep him to 5th overall. On Day 2, Cristian would come back to
the AA Pro main event and this time finish on the podium, with a 3rd
place finish overall. Cristian moves into the top 5 in the ABA Pro points
and looks to win another top 3 overall year end number come ABA grands
time. Cristian's Sponsors include: Free Agent, KHS, Fly Racing, SINZ,
Kenda, THE Products, ODI, Sun Ringle, Shimano, Powerbar, Cyto Sport,
S & M bars, OGIO, Thomson Seat Posts, and BMXpros.com
