ABA East Coast Nationals


Round 12 of the 2006 ABA BMX Pro Series tour rolled into New Castle, Delaware this past weekend for some exciting Pro racing action. With the ABA Pro title still up for grabs with the top 4 AA pros in points right now, it would be an important weekend for each of the Pros looking to add the ABA Pro title to there list of accomplishments. All 3 of the Double A Marketing riders in attendance just returned from France last weekend from the UCI Supercross event. Randy and Kyle both represented the USA to help obtain a top spot for the USA in national team selection for the 2008 Olympic Games. With just one more weekend of the ABA Pro series and the ABA Race of Champions left to gain points before the ABA Grands, it will be some exciting racing coming down for the top 4 AA Pros. Here is how the Double A Marketing riders finished up this weekend:

Randy Stumpfhauser currently sits in 4th overall for the ABA Pro title, the only one in USA BMX that he has not earned. Randy stopped racing Pro Cruiser this year, to focus on the 20" title, and by the looks of it, it has paid off. On Saturday, Randy was in both the AA Pro and Pro Open main events. Randy was the winner of Pro Open and finished 2nd in AA Pro. On Sunday, Randy was 2nd in Pro Open and 3rd in AA overall, giving some good points to keep him within reach of the ABA #1 Pro title. Kyle Bennett was looking quick in Delaware as well, and on Saturday Kyle finished 3rd in AA Pro. On Sunday, Kyle missed out on the AA main, but made up for it with a win in Pro Open. Kyle sits #2 overall right now in the ABA title hunt. Cristian Becerine looked his usual fast self all weekend at the ABA East Coast National. On Sunday, Cristian was in both the AA Pro main, where hr finished 4th and Pro Open, where he finished a weekend best of 3rd place. Dale Hits Japan for BMX and 4X

For all you Dale Holmes race fans, Don't fret that you don't see Dale's name in the USA BMX Race Results. He has been busier than ever this year with World travel. For the past 2 weeks, Dale has been giving his fans in Japan something to cheer about, as he went there for a UCI BMX International event, and then headed over to the Japanese National 4 Cross Championships. Dale wound up winning the Mountain Bike event and placed 3rd at the BMX race both days.
