ABA Super Nationals DeSoto, TX May 11-12

The ABA held round 10 of the 2002 Pro tour this past weekend in DeSoto, Texas. DeSoto is one of the nicest BMX facilities around, and what better setting for the 3rd ABA Pro Race to be filmed for the TV. The TV Air Dates are: June 3 @ 4:30 PM, June 17 @ 4:30 PM, and July 1 @ 4:30 PM On Fox Sports. With a huge Pro turnout, this was one of the best ABA races of the season, and once again it was the Double A Marketing riders standing on the podium once the weekend was over. Here is how the riders finished up.

Randy Stumpfhauser had yet another great weekend of Racing, this time in the ABA. Randy was in the AA Pro main and Pro Cruiser main events both days. On Saturday, it was a first in Pro Cruiser and a 3rd in AA pro. On the TV race day, Sunday, Stumpy stepped it up in AA and finished 2nd overall. In Pro Cruiser, he had some bad luck, but still pulled off a 5th. Randy seems to be in the best racing shape of his career and looks to add some more Pro titles this season. Warwick Stevenson also had another great weekend of Racing, Warwick was in AA and Pro Open both days and on Saturday he placed 2nd in AA, barley missing the win. He came back with a vengeance in Pro Open with a huge win. On Sunday, Podge was at it again, this time taking a 3rd in AA and a crash held him to 8th overall in Open. Warwick was actually knocked out in a crash and still posted up an impressive result in AA. Is this kid for real? Jamie Staff has been turning heads all over the cycling community lately, and this time it was at the BMX track. Jamie started things off with a 3rd in Pro Open on Saturday, and then turned it up for the TV show, as he was in Both the AA and Pro Open main events. Jamie dusted the class in the Open with an impressive win and finished a brilliant 4th place overall in AA.
