ABA Sooner Nationals Guthrie, Oklahoma February 23-24

Round 4 of the ABA 2002 Pro tour was held this past weekend in a great indoor facility in Guthrie, OK. With the recent addition of Yamaha Wave Runner as the title sponsor with the ABA, the ABA has been able to add TV races back into the schedule. Sundays Pro Mains were filmed for Fox Sports, for the new ABA TV show. The ABA also stepped it up with a great track, including an awesome Pro Section, making it one of the best tracks in a long time. Here is how the Double A Marketing riders who attended finished up in the main events:

Christophe Leveque made his return to BMX racing after a rib injury kept him off his bike for one month with great success. On Saturday, Christophe was working out the kinks and was in both the AA main, Placing 5th overall and then turning it up in Pro Open with a huge victory. On Sunday, Christophe was once again in both main events, placing 4th in AA Pro and 5th in Pro Open. Looks like his time off the Ultra Box didn't affect him at all. Wade Bootes had another good weekend on his Trek BMX bike with 2 main event appearances. On Saturday, it was in the AA pro main event, where he placed 4th overall. On the TV day, Sunday, Wade was in the Pro Open main, where he placed 4th overall once again. Wade took time off from the Trek MTB training camp to make the BMX race as he gets ready fro the Sea Otter Classic later on in March. Jason Donnell keeps his strong performances of 2002 going with 2 main event finishes, both on Sunday for the big TV show. In AA Pro, Jason had a crash hold him back to 8th overall, but still quite impressive. In Pro Open it was a 6th place finish for Jason and another big spot on the TV show.
