ABA Season Opener Silver Dollar Nationals Reno, NV
The 2008 ABA Pro Series season started off in Reno, Nevada at the Reno
Livestock arena. Just like so many years in the past, Reno, the ABA
1st stop for the new season, has a lot of people excited for a new
year, new sponsors, and the Pros are ready to get back to going after
the ABA #1 Pro title. Here is how each rider finished up:
Danny
Caluag was excited to be in Reno, as this was his first time
to ride his new ABA #1 Pro plates in both the AA and Pro Cruiser classes.
On Day 1, Danny started things off huge with a win in AA Pro and a
3rd in Pro Cruiser. On Sunday, Danny stepped it up with 2 huge wins,
in both AA Pro and Pro Cruiser. This is the way Danny started off the
2007 ABA season and he hope 2008 can go just as well for him.
Danny's sponsors include Intense BMX, Bawls Gurana, FLY Racing, Shimano,
THE Products, OGIO, SINZ, Go211.com, Group D, Oakley, Thomson, Intense
Tyre Systems, Cyto Sport, and BMXpros.com
Cristian
Becerine started things off well in the NBL for 2008 and
wanted to do the same in the ABA season opener. On Sunday, Cristian
did just that with a 4th place in AA Pro. Cristian just missed out
on the podium, but he will be ready at the next ABA stop in Guthrie,
OK.
Cristian's sponsors include Free Agent, KHS, Fly Racing, SINZ, Kenda,
THE Products, ODI, Sun Ringle, Shimano, Powerbar, Cyto Sport, S & M
bars, OGIO, Thomson, and BMXpros.com
Randy
Stumpfhauser had a weekend to forget in Reno, as he did not make
the main event either day. Randy was in the Pro semi both
days, but
bad luck kept him from the big show. Don't worry Stumpy fans, he
will be back and we expect him to be right near the top of
the podium at
the next event, the NBL Coyote Nationals.
Randy's sponsors include GT Bicycles, Bombshell, ODI, Tangent, Fly
Racing, Sinz, Shimano, GO211.com, OGIO, Cyto Sport, Power Bar, SDG,
and BMXPros.com
Kyle
Bennett was not in attendance in Reno, as he stayed at home for
the birth of his first child. Kyle was missed by the fans, but some
of the AA's were no so sad that he was no there, as he has been untouchable
in the past few events. Congratulations go out to Kyle and Wife Ashley.
Kyle's Sponsors include Free Agent, FLY Racing, UGP, Shimano, GO211.com,
Bombshell, Sun Ringle, Kenda, Thomson, KHS, S & M bars, Cyto Sport,
