BMX Race/Freestyle Reports
ABA US Nationals, CFB Contest #1, UCI BMX Supercross
With
a wild and action paced weekend of BMX, May 1st and 2nd had resulted
in a lot of great results for the Pro riders of Double
A Marketing.
With the ABA US Nationals in Roseville, CA, The UCI BMX Supercross
Series, and the CFB Series in Stallion Springs, CA all going down,
it was a full weekend for the BMX community and the Double A Marketing
riders ruled in all 3 of the locations!
Specialized AA Pro rider Brandon Meadows took home his first AA Pro
win this past weekend at his home track, Roseville at the ABA US
Nationals. After coming out big on Saturday, riding on flat pedals
and winning
his motos, he crashed all 3 main's giving him 8th for the overall
finish. He did come back and redeem himself later on Saturday night
with a
3rd in Pro Open. On Sunday, he decided to clip in and it made all
the difference in the world, as he won all 3 main events, taking
home his
first ever AA Pro win, right in front of his family and friends.
Brandon also placed 3rd in Pro Open again, wrapping up a great weekend
for
himself and all of his sponsors. Brandon's sponsors include Specialized,
O'Neal, Tangent, Adidas, Sun Ringle, Marazochi BMX Forks, Marwi,
Oakley, Powerbar, and BMXpros.com.

at Woodward West in Stallion Springs, CA, taking home not only 3rd
place in the Pro Vert Class but also an invitation for the 2004 ESPN
X Games and Gravity Games. Pro Vert has continued to push the envelope
of BMX riding and tricks keep evolving beyond imagination and John
has stepped up his vert riding. He finished just finished behind
winner Jamie Bestwick, and runner up Kevin Robinson. John is now
getting ready
for the MSS series opener. later on this month in Cincinnati, OH

BMX Downhill is a crazy sport, and only one rider has made every
main event since the conception of this sport - Randy Stumpfhauser.
Randy
has the skill and agility to attack these crazy tracks, with 50 foot
double jumps and speeds up to 40 miles and hour! This weekend was
no difference, as Randy took to the Woodward West course, the same
location
as last years X Games course, and was ready for the challenge. Randy
won all but one of his qualifying races and was one of the picks
to win the event as the riders lined up in the gate for the main
event.
As the gate dropped, Randy took the early lead and started to pull
away from the pack. Just as he exited the 1st turn, he unfortunately
slipped his pedals and went from 1st to 6th. Randy fought his way
through traffic and finished up 4th for the day. Right now, Randy
Stumpfhauser
is the overall best BMX racer in the world! Randy's sponsors include
GT Bicycles, Hyundai, IRC Tires, Shimano, Fox Racing, Sun Ringle,
Bombshell Forks, AC, Thomson, SDG Seats, Powerbar, CTI Knee Braces,
Easton, Marwi,
FSA Headsets, S & M, BMXpros.com, and Smith Eyewear. |
